Zelda! I got hooked when playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past on the SNES.

The first game that made me want a sequel was Zelda. Too bad the sequel was the worst in the series.

After Zelda, it was Metroid. Both of those games changed gaming forever. Super Mario was good but it was definitely dated after those two games released.

I can't remember exactly.

The first sequels I owned were all on the NES. I would have to go look up their release dates.

I was like 5 when I first got Mario Bros, but I got it and Mario Bros 2 along with Megaman 1 and 2 at about the same time...so, tie for Megaman and Mario. Then Sonic.

Final Fantasy.
It could have been Seiken Densetsu, but I never finished more than one of this (Seiken Densetsu 2).

First Series I really got into: Megaman.

It would be Mario Brothers, however, in 1989, after my first experience playing Mario Brothers 2 at a government convention (Not sure why, but the government of Canada had a bunch of Nintendo's hooked up to entertain the kids of their employees), we then we to a driving range, where I got hit full force by a driver in the shoulder. Well, not sure how forceful it was, but I was 5, and it hurt.

That negative reinforcement made me desire Megaman 4 more than Mario Brothers 3. Of course, I love both games, but it means Megaman was my first series I really got into.

The first games that really got me to following their sequels would be Zelda, Mario, Castlevania, and Metroid. Zelda has always been the big one for me though. :)

The first series I got addicted to probably went like this.

1. Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Urban strike (Genesis)
2. Road Rash
3. Age of Empires

I was never too fond of Mario for some reason. I think it was because my dad rented SMB 2 on the NES and he hated it. I loved SMB 3 when I went over my friends house, just never got into the series.
