Forums - Gaming - According to Play Magazine, next Golden Axe is now 360-only

Just ignore him Legend. He's just trying to get a rise out of people. If it was on the Wii he wouldn't be criticizing it.

Anyway, some of us like games regardless of platform. I really hope this comes true. Golden Axe is one of those old franchises that could really use a modern revival.

Sega was once a mighty good developer on 2D games, and good 3D games up to the point of the dreamcast, but then its quality start taking a dive after the dreamcast.

Golden Axe was one of the best arcade and console game of its time.
I know one fact, this game have sucked alot of quarters away from me.

Soriku, sinha, calm down or you're both getting a child friendly time out.

"A child-friendly time out", what the hell are you talking about?

I'm a 29 year old law student who engages in intelligent discussions on this board without warnings from mods. You, on the other hand, are apparently a new mod who is already abusing his powers on the first day.

I'm legitimately complaining because a well-known troll is once again completely derailing a thread with comments like "To put it simply: I hate Sega. They can die." and "IMO, Sega's games suck. ALL of them."

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

Exactly.

So the question remains: why doesn't he get banned?

MontanaHatchet, I suggest you read the Forum Rules, specifically:

Platform criticism. Posts slamming a particular platform without basis - be it a specific console, macs, windows, or anything similar - will not be tolerated. The forums are here for gamers of all persuasions, so unless you're in a thread specifically geared towards platform comparison/discussion, keep your anti-platform comments out of the thread. Note that there is a difference between having a reasonable argument in the correct thread and trolling.

"To put it simply: I hate Sega. They can die."

"IMO, Sega's games suck. ALL of them."

Soriku's comments are clearly posts slamming a particular console (or something similar).  This is obviously NOT a thread specifically geared towards platform comparison/discussion.  And the posts from Soriku are clearly NOT "reasonable arguments" but trolling that supposedly "will not be tolerated."

Clearly someone who's never played the Dreamcast. Rarely has any one developer released so many quality games in so many different genres than SEGA prior to exiting the hardware market.

Seriously, name any console you can think of and I'll bet that the Dreamcast had a higher percentage of games rated in the 90% range. And this was from a console that lacked third party support.

Translation: SEGA used to be good, extremely good.

"The Dreamcast has the best ratio of good to bad games ever."

"Is it the one console, to rule them all?" *getssmackedaround* "Ow! Ow! Ow!"

20 nerd points if you know where that came from.

Alas no nerd points for me :(

Debating with fanboys, its not
all that dissimilar to banging ones
head against a wall

Golden axe is a great game. I hope they don't ruin it :( Would be gr8 if ps3... but oh well can;t win em all.

  Unleash The Beast!

End of 2011 Sales: Wii = 90mil, 360 = 61mil, PS3= 60mil

Well, to be fair, he's trashing all Sega games equally and not limiting his unfounded opinions to any particular platform, right?

Bah.

Hates Nomura.

Well, Sega definitely was a platform (Golden Axe was released on the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Master System), but anyways the forum rules say platform "or anything similar."  And he's not just trashing Sega games: "I hate Sega. They can die."
