Forums - Gaming - Policemen caught plaing the WII during investigation

Ssttrrrikkkke!

Police in Florida have been caught on camera indulging in a lengthy Wii Sports Bowling session when in fact they should have been searching the property of a drug trafficker they'd just arrested.

The official state records show that 16 detectives spent a total of 9 hours searching the apartment of the suspect (43-year-old Michael Difalcoat) at a cost to the tax payer of over $4,000.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd stated that:

"How do you explain it? Well, you can't explain that, my deputies know that they shouldn't have been playing Wii while they were involved in that search warrant."

Before adding that:

"It's an embarrassment to the detectives involved and its an embarrassment to the organization but you know what we employee 1800 people and not one of them is perfect we all make mistakes. They made a mistake."

Meanwhile Defense attorney Rick Escobar watched a sampling of the drug raid video and comment that:

"I've never seen anything like this. I find this very offensive. Shocking embarrassing I'm sure that the department is extremely embarrassed by this behavior."

The evidence which can be seen below is pretty damning.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
