Well I never said FFXIII would have the biggest opening. I said Famitsu, Media Create and the higher ups here were underestimating it by saying it would only do 1.5 million lifetime. He told me that I know nothing about sales and they do so I'd have to be wrong, and I'm not. Can't do much to spin that one, unless he thinks the game will sell 0 copies from this point on.

Last week numbers will be added only in several days. But we already know PS3's last week HW sales(245k+) for Japan.

I think it depends entirely on how well NSMB holds Wii sales afloat past the holidays. PS3's Q1 is way stronger at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it maintains a weekly lead over Wii early next year.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

Posted a list. Basically it has more games and heavier hitters, though Q1 isn't final and should fill out more. Unless Wii has a surprise big game announcement for March though (like Mario Galaxy 2?), I think PS3 will take it.
Don't see how the PS3 line-up is any better - for the Japan market anyway. Also EA Grand slam tennis would be for the Wii and not for PS3. Noticed that quite a few of the PS3 games were TBC too. So i can see at least a few of them slipping until later on in the year.

that would be too much Mario in a short span if it happens.
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

No, it's the "gem" version, GST Wii already came out in Japan last summer. Natal version likely won't ship until fall then.
And yeah, I expect some of the tba games to slip.
If we reduce the lists down to just announced games with a confirmed date and are likely to sell 100k+...
