I liked both Halo 3 and COD4.  I guess it just depends on if you like sci fi or are more into a terrorist faction to play against.  Personally I would go with Halo 3 because I enjoyed the setting and also loved the campaign because I played the other Halo games.  If your going to go with COD 4, you may just want to wait until cod 5 comes out (if you can wait that long).  It looks to be amazing.

LO is really good but I enjoyed GTAIV more.  Both are fun and I don't think you will lose anything by choosing either or.  I liked Mass Effect better than either though! :P

Yeah man... left4Dead also looks amazing, LO, GTAIV, Mass Effect... so many games, so little time/money

Halo 3/COD4 is a toss up as both are very good, Forget LO or GTAIV and go with Mass Effect, Last one go with Nuts and Bolts. I like VP, but its not everyone cup of tea.

RE5 or Left4Dead? any other??

To be honest I can't say which is better because I haven't played RE5. I can say that L4Dead is amazing though. I really did enjoy playing online, killing survivors. I have read good things about RE5 too. Tough choice.

Dead Space is really good, particularly in the sound department, which is pretty awesome. One you should get if you're a survival horror fan or always wanted to try one.
