Games are region locked right? what are these regions? the same as pal/ntsc etc or the same as dvds? are there region free games?

I believe Some Japanese games are region free, otherwise you would need to get NTSC games for your 360 since it is coming from the US.

Ok, but, is it really ntsc or pal when you're playing in HD? does it make a difference?
