The technology for the head tracking has existed. My professor for Graphics and Multimedia CS class has been working on utilizing multiple cameras for a combined image which works. There are tons of videos. One important aspect is if one camera gets bumped, it only takes a second to readjust the image, so the military is very interesting in having this type of thing land fighter planes on ships. It would be able to keep the aircraft perfectly steady while coming in. Impressive indeed.
