Wouldn't be too weird to think it has something to do with motion control, but I also think it's a purely sales-related trick.

Not only is GT a name that will sell anyway, regardless of the season, it may be smart to keep it away from December, as FF XIII will already sell quite a lot, and the more sold, the more cash sony is giving away. Perhaps they are also hoping that production costs will even decrease some more, so that GT 5 may be launched with a profitable console (which would bring in quite some cash)

I agree with this, for Japan. But i wonder what about the rest of the world. I mean there is no one big exclusive. There is Uncharted, and Rachet and Clank but those are the only exclusives. Do you think, Sony thinks, MW2 will take away from GT if they released it?

I think its because there still doing the damage on all the other cars, so far we have only really seen the Subaru get smashed up, they have a lot of cars to work on, it probably would be ready if they didn't have to have damage.

I think SE has threaten Sony to clear the way for FF13 in Japan this holiday season or they will make FFvs13 multi-plat. lol

Motion control is slated for Spring 2010, not March 2010. If it the launch was in March, they would have said it. But Spring includes the period through June.

March is the end of the fiscal year for Sony. Launching GT5 within the fiscal year with make their earnings look better.



Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

I hope this doesn't conflict with God Of War 3 sales in march....
There are alot more of GT fans than GOW fans so i hope the release date is in
japan only...

Motion Control is being launched March 2010 in Japan, Spring 2010 everywhere else. It was said at TGS. I don't know where the link is, but i think it was during the Keynote.

Wow bunch of links you got there.

But i was wrong it wasn't from TGS it was from SEGA who said the Motion Control is coming out March in Japan. It was from the meeting they had with Sony.
