Forums - Sony - Design a control scheme for RE5:AV

Theres no way it stays for the final product.

If Sony thinks people will cramp their hands in uncomfortable positions to utilize the DS3 at the same time theyre dumb.

They should have just had a double wand interface with blue for left, red for right and the blue one an analog.

Around the Network

The biggest problem I see for another controller is cost. Let's say the controllers cost $40. The camera cost $40. I just don't see many people shelling out $120 for a single player, two controller setup. And if not that many people have it. what incentive is there for developers to implement it.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Okay, I've done some testing with a Wiimote and a DS3 to see if this control scheme was as uncomfortable as it seemed and the answer is yes and no.

I tried using my standard Wii playing position ie. my right arm/hand resting on my right leg to provide stability and quick and accurate aiming and then tried to hold the DS3 in my left hand.

If we only need to use the left analog stick on the DS3, then there's no problem at all, you can have a solid grip on the controller and use the stick without any problems but if we need to use the L1 and L2 buttons then the hold become very uncomfortable and unstable with two fingers used for L1 and L2.
