i was hoping it didn't come to this, but this is obviously suppl and demand for Japan. We will see 60, 70 at the most. This makes me feel bad for the Japanese market.

Games coming out in Euro countries are 60 euros for the first 6 months or so, 60 euros x 1.46 (current exchange rate) is pretty much 90$ to me?

Just good business. There will be plenty of people eager to purchase the game at well above retail. After a couple of weeks, they could cut it to regular price and get those stragglers who want the game but won't pay full price.

Japan probably won't care. Wii Fit was about the same price, and Japan ate that up.

The only reason the exchange rate would affect us negatively for Japan is for those people who are going to import in order to get the jap languae track. Nobody wants your stupid icelandic speak.

Dragon Quest 9 [DS] was released at $55 brand new...

FF13 cost was over 40 $ million.
