love how my thread has become the ps3 d00med this holiday thread...

Ratchet and clank and eyepet are non existent to me... Demon souls is cool but I was looking forward to playing GT5 Forgive me for thinking the game would be out this year after the comment...we can release the game anytime we want to.

MW2 and AC2 can have the holidays.
Both aren't that big in Japan, but that is taken care of by FFXIII.

Look at Spring 2010 for the ps3:

Motion Controller + new (Ape Escape) and old games (RE5, LBP)

GT5 (Japan) (US/PAL?)
Yakuza 4 (Japan)
Star Ocean 4
FF XIII (US/PAL)
GOW III
etc.

And Uncharted2, GOW collection, R&C, Demon's Souls and Ninja Gaiden SII isn't too bad either.

At least i dont have to decide which racing game im gonna get for 09.

Now i can grab Forza3 and couple months later GT5 !!

Not the smartest move for Sony, but a smart one for me!


I have the feeling we get dissapointed in march again: FF13, GoW3, GT5, Heavy Rain, Motion stuff (Re5:CE) all for Q1/2010? They must be joking...

Evenmore its hard enuff to handle MW2, U2, Ratchet, Eyepet for rest of 09 (not to speak of Demon Souls, AC2, Fifa 10 and god knows what i forgot)

I don't think its expecting much when the majority of folks believed it would be released this year. I guess if they said holiday 2010 I should be happy because they gave me a date? I don't mean to be rude either but waiting another 6 months plus doesn't sound appealing to me so I won't be happy. But I'll deal with it because there is no other option.

No surprise, I seriously doubted it would make this year anyway as there was no way they could rush it to the market and risk being outdone by "the competition". I understand the disappointment from some people but I'd rather they released the game they want to than what they were forced to.

I seriously wonder if this decision was recently made in light of the success of the PS3 slim. Seriously, this almost gaurenteed great FY 2010 sales with, im assuming, a late march release.

I dont think other titles would cannibalize its sales this holiday, but acting like this game would make or break Sony's holiday is bonkers.

Jamming the channels with quality software is stupid, giving people constant reasons to get excited and get your name in the press is better than a quick spurt.

GT5 this year would not be a killer blow, but between this, GoW and motion controls Sony has secured itself a wicked start to the FY 2010.

So The Slim, Uncharted, FF, Ratchet and clank, MAG not to mention the multiplat games and bundles for the holiday will surely carry the PS3 brand all the way until God of War, GT5, FF in the wast and motions.

Its smart business and makes complete sense to anyone with an active functioning brain. No offence to those without a brain here.
