Microsoft Announces Snoopy Flying Ace, Toy Soldiers for XBLA

Pre-TGS announcement also reaffirms previously announced Japanese XBLA games.

With the Tokyo Game Show set to take off, Microsoft has announced two new Xbox Live Arcade games that'll be displayed at the event: Snoopy Flying Ace and Toy Soldiers.

Snoopy Flying Ace comes from the same developer behind Snoopy vs. The Red Baron for PlayStation 2, and is described as featuring "fast-paced airborne combat" with "simple flight controls and a hangar full of customizable planes and weapons." It'll also have 10 different battlefields, and online multiplayer with nine different game modes (including "airborne rugby," however that works).

Toy Soldiers, meanwhile, is a "strategy-based game" populated with miniature World War I-era... uh, well, toy soldiers. The game will have 50 unique units (including infantry, tanks, planes, and zeppelins), five maps, and yes, online multiplayer support.

The announcement also spotlighted three previously announced upcoming XBLA games from Japan that'll be at TGS: Square Enix's bizarrely titled shooter 0 Day Attack on Earth, which was first shown back in April; Taito's RayStorm HD; and Hudson's Bomberman Live: Battlefest.

0o0o Toy Soliders looks like alot of fun, i'll be keeping an eye out for this.

toy soldiers does sound cool, hopfully it's more than an rts though.
