I mean I read the reviews x game lasts 6 hours y game lasts 8 hours.

What am I missing here?

So I pick up ODST yesterday.

I was led to believe I would squeeze 6 hours max out of it on heroic.

Well guess what, I have put 5 hours in on heroic and I am only on second flashback mission.

So what gives here?

Am I terrible at games or are the reviewers on cheat codes.

Just wondering folks as I only use present purchase as example.

Most reviews I can at least double if not treble the hours it takes these guys to finish game.

Any one feel the same?

I remember people saying that it took them 30+ hours to beat mgs4. It's all what you make of it and how much you explore and linger. Even a short campeign can be expanded into a long one if you explore enough. Which is great. Personallyl I wish I had explored more on my first MGS4 playthrough, but I breezed through it and it was over before it started.

But I am finding this thing damn hard but very very enjoyable.
So how good are these guys or how bad am I?.
I mean It happens a lot with reviewers.
I can understand flying through a game on easy but higher levels just take me a lot of time.
So am I just crap. :)

The problem is that reviewers and people trying to prove a point zoom through the game, not really taking time to fully appreciate it. I'm sure I can complete any game in some allotted amount of time, but it would only be robbing my enjoyment of it.

I'm not very good either, it takes me usually 1.75 - 2 times as long as the reviewers say to play through a game. I actually don't mind, I don't really want to be so good at a game that I can fly through it (on the first playthrough that is), that would bore me. I like having to work to get the feel of a game, and having that "wow" moment when something I didn't expect happens. A lot of people just aren't impressed with that sort of thing anymore.

reviewers are just a bunch of liars. Probably played the game for an hour and made a guess.

It is all subjective to change. I'm 4 hours in and on the 2nd flashback and my friend beat it on legendary in 3 hours.

I would rather take my time to appreciate the game for what it is rather than just speed through it.

I've yet to play the game. So idk, they may just be full of shit and quote how long it took them on easy. lol I mean, honestly, what's more manly? To say that you beat the game in 6 hours on easy, or heroic?
