Hmm, taking into account the start of sales of XBOX and PS3 it is difficult to say that the PS3 is clearly in 3rd place. It is more the opposite case http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php

Try with 210 weeks.
http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php?cons1=Wii®1=All&cons2=PS3®2=All&cons3=X360®3=All&weeks=210
Launch ps3-----> +5,3 millions 360 http://vgchartz.com/hwcomps.php?cons1=®1=All&cons2=PS3®2=All&cons3=X360®3=All&start=39019&end=39320&weekly=1
now--------------> +7,7 millions 360
Selling more before and after.
Maybe it's the fact that Sony was once on top of the mountain in this industry, and the fall from grace has been swift and brutal. The worst thing about being on top is the fall to the bottom, and maybe the transition from PS2 dominance to PS3 heel-dragging has had a damaging effect on the fanboy psyche, leaving them vulnerable and insecure. Maybe fanboys are suffering from a severe case of paranoid delusion, brought about by denial that the PS3 is in third place when once Sony was leading the charge.

I think when you compare the same time from the start, SONY sold more... Of course XBOX sells one year longer...
Just short calculation:
XBOX 31,96 Mio / 4 years = 8 Mio / year
PS3 24,3 Mio / 3 years = 8 Mio / year
Maybe PS3 slightly better...
The old PS3 is a major dust magnet that shows every fingerprint like a battle scar. Maybe if you've got a maid, and you probably could if you thought that thing was worth the launch price, it's not so bad. For the rest of us, the slim is vastly superior. If I could choose between the form-factors and still get the same product I'd take the slim for certain.

Personnally I think the Original PS3 was the first stylish looking Console. You could put in your living room, without looking like a cheap crap. Original PS2 was not too bad too, but not that stylish. And yes you get fingerprints... How many fingerprints and scratches have i(diot)phones [

Personnally no one cares what you think because you are a biased sony fanboy.

I am really impressed. The i-Phone comment was meant as a joke, but I fear nobody can understand jokes here.
But anyway we discuss here the Design change of the PS3, I talk about the console I own. I troll myself, what's up?

I've never heard of either scratches or fingerprints having phones at all. I'm not sure what they'd even do with one given that neither has the ability to speak, listen, or even think. I can see why you're so at home with this sort of thing on your PS3, though. >_> You really shouldn't call other people idiots if you can't even formulate a proper sentence.
Also, my iPhone has neither scratches nor fingerprints. It's called a case. It protects my phone from both those things and dust. Try that with your PS3 and you'll likely have a dead PS3.
