Forums - Sony - Problems with my PS3 resolution

I don't think converting to DVI would help as the signal would remain the same.

Sounds like the telly was auto upscaling the images and tidying up the picture

I think the monitor is displaying whatever is supplied to it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Well without buying an external video scaler (quite pricey) you're pretty much stuck. However, 95% of PS3 games are 720p native, so I'd say running all games at that resolution is your best bet. Blu rays, may look a tad worse though.

you cheap. go buy yourself a real lcd or led tv

Yeah I might do that, or just play back on my old tv. The screen is smaller but the picture tends to be better. Thanks for the help.
