Forums - Microsoft - Will the 360 get a slim version once it moves down to 32nm?

You're right, I just don't like handheld gaming so to me selling half of the only other competitor is not a success. That's just my own viewpoint though, so don't take offense to it.

so i guess you both 360 and ps3 are failures.

because both sell half wii did.

I believe I did say something to that affect.  I'm not calling all these things failures for not being number one, just not a huge success.

The only reason I view the 360 as any success at all is because it stopped Sony from dominating another gen (well actually Nintendo did most of that ) and has kept ahead of it's main competitor (Sony) the whole time so far.  If it were only Nintendo and MS in the console race, I would most definitely not consider the 360 much of a success.  Sure there can be many little successes given (such as outselling your previous gen console LTD, or being the highest selling 2nd place console ever), but overall to me it still wouldn't be a big success.  Notice this does not mean I am calling them failures.

PSP it's the first handheld console to step into nintendo handheld dominated market and get some marketshare. not a single company ever managed to do that.

30% may sound little but thats 50 million consoles. it far from not being a success.

i wouldn't matter much ps3 would still not be #1 because wii would have sold twice as much due cheaper price.

sure they are not a failure, but not a success, microsoft launched and still have the title of the most unreliable console, it yet to manage to get  sales like a top selling console ever did. but it's have managed to survive with all this problems though with tons of price cuts. and the whole xbox division still 7 billion+ in the hole.

and the ps3 launched a 600$ and its only console to survive at such price point, and actually outperfrom 360 in the same time frame. but it's not a success because sony was first, and it let many third party go multiplatform also lost money.
