WTF is a muse?

Muse are a UK rock band, there very popular

though, personally im not a fan, I dont actively dislike them, I just wouldnt choose to listen to them is all.

Oasis, The Beatles, Queen, The Rolling Stones, now those, those are my kind of bands.

=) Have you listened to their new album? There's what can I say, a hint of Queen in United States of Eurasia!

no, I heard there new single, cant say I cared much for it

there is no way i would ever compare them to Queen, there lead singer hasnt got a patch (even a small one) on Freddie Mercury

to be honest, all of the bands i "like" formed pre-1998, not much reccently has caught my ear (other than some of the new stuff by bands i like anyway, like Oasis and R.E.M)

Listen to United states of Eurasia or Exogenesis, they remind you of Queen, you can tell Bellamy is influenced by them. He doesnt sing llike Freddy though, but now, how many do? People usually think Muse is like their song in Twilight, but that is one of the pop songs they have, they have much better songs than those.

i hated that film, the songs im thinking of, almost certainly arent the one in that film

Great, because I did too, you really should check them out, when a friend told me about them I though they would be like a typical pop rock band but I was mistaken, listen to songs like new born, unintended, stockholm syndrome, blackout, butterflies and hurricanes or invincible if you want to start checking them out.

i see there is a lot of jay z haters on here... I use to not like rap but now i love it. Its show so much more talent then something like metal or country or even some of today shit like fallout boy and green day.

there is really nothing like relaxing after a long day with a blunt and some black album or kid cudi playing in the background for me.

You see I don't have a problem with this. I have a problem with someone saying it's Not Music. Thats what fuckin annoys the hell outta me

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I have read none of the posts above, but I can guess a war of the genres must be taking place here, am I wrong?

Metal needs way more talent, just look at guitars, bass and drums, sometimes the vocals arent as good but vocalist like the one in Iron Maiden are ones of the most talented, I dont know much about country since I dont listen to it, but Neil >Diamond is also better than Jay Z.

Greenday and Falloutboys are band that are generally considered as bad, but greenday even if their voices and guitars are very simple, the drums arent exactly easy and their lyrics has content in them. Falloutboy singer is good, but the guitars are very simple but their drums are better, anyway, singing fallout boy is harder than singing rap, way harder.

It's innevitable.

In a Venn diagram, there aren't many individuals located at the intersection of the sets "Elvis fans" and "Jay Z fans".

It's just the way life works.

i think i may be in shock. Rapping is way harder then singing.

Such as this rap song.  This guy raps to every letter in the alphabet only using one letter at a time. Not only did this guy has to write this rap, he has to memorize it and spit it up at increditable speeds. Also rappers almost always have a better vocab then singers.  Green days crappy ass sing doesnt compare to this. The lyrics make the music what it is. (for me at least)

There is also much more emotion in rap then metal.... Well much more emotions. Not just angry.

Such as this song by immortal technique. All his songs has crazy amouts of  emotions and his beats you can melt into.

But whatever, your free to your opinion. Its what makes us human

I haven't listened to all of Jay-Z new cd yet but I will soon. I don't think he is bigger than Elvis though.
