Forums - General - If White Male Country Star interrupted a young black female singer

If White Male Country Star interrupted a young black female singer, to praise a white woman.

There would be non-stop coverage of  "how racist people are in this country."  The Country star would be black listed.  The offended singer would become the most promoted singer ever.  2009 would be remembered for this event.

The media is itching for a racist situation.  They keep trying to start fires with every new criticism of Obama getting the racist label.

Do you disagree?

Is it racist to only see racism in caucasian behavior towards other races?

This is the first time I've seen anyone bring race into this... in fact, you seem to be obsessed with this abstract idea that majorities in the US are oppressed by minorities.

The fact is, the Kanye West incident ** IS ** all over the news, even though its insignificant.. and it has nothing to do with race.

When 50 Cent beat Kanye for an award, Kanye stormed out of MTV Studios saying that a black man couldnt catch a break.  So yes, Kanye is racist, but he would be an ass regardless.

IRT to another one of CommunistHaters failed attempts at discourse.  If the situation he described occured, the white singer would be just as ostricized as Kanye is right now.  Obviously, just because Kanye is black doesnt mean people think its okay (if anything a black man and white woman bring up more racial tension anyway, I'm thinking of political adds in the South that depict black politicians with white girls in bikinis and the drop in polls that follows.)

Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. - Acts 4:34

Manus says Kanye is racist, and you say race is not being talked about with this.

You have both proven my point.

Joe Wilson incident has news crying racism for a week now, and Kanye West has not been labeled a racist.

Now go yell in the Wilson thread about "it has nothing to do with race" or you are a racist

I actually think it probably did have a lot to do with race.

Considering Kanye's past he probably thought Beyonce didn't win because MTV was run by racists.

Also the thing about jesus being a communist... it fails to get at the point.

The giving in general, and as taught by Christianity is supposed to come from the individual... not the state. It's a really big difference.

This is really true if you know anything about sociology.

Let us go into Kanye psyche.  He sees a young white girl take the stage and he goes into a rage that MTV is promoting white people.  He feels he has to correct this great social justice somehow.  His rapping about the injustice blacks suffer means nothing if he doesn't take action in real life.

Kanye's rap music is worse than Obama's pastor's sermons
