Forums - Microsoft - Will this hurt 360 now in Japan?

Many people in Japan did get the 360 cause if its great rpg line up. Now 2 former exclusives are coming to ps3 aswell. How will people in Japan react, do they wait now if more 360 exclusives/timed exclusives rpg are announced for 360 to releases on ps3 also or will they buy the 360 version ahead.

Thoughts?

Not only in Japan.....With every JRPG release on Xbox 360 people will say 'I wait for the beter PS3 version'.....

With Final Fantasy XIII on the way, I think it's safe to say that the 360 is going to be fairly quiet in Japan from now on. Still doesn't mean it didn't put up a spectacular fight there, it's just that MAIN PlayStation games are on their way, including GT5.

These JRPGs coming to PS3 doesn't really help the situation either...

Couldn't have said it better. this all the way!

And I think MS invested more in JRPG's than they got back in profit. It should be better if they had their own studio who would make JRPG's.

Its a double-edged sword. Impatients will get the inferior 360 version while those willing to wait will pick up the PS3 version with more content.

* standing ovation *

EVERY company needs one of those...

Seriously, it actually suits them better because they won't have to pay people to make RPG's for them only to realize that they come with little success and eventually get ported to the PS3.

This is the true definition of owning.

I would say I care about the Japanese and their video games, but I don't.

:( don't tease me. v.v

What would be amusing is if a more "complete" version of FF13 came out on the 360 in japan in a year

Well, how can it hurt the Xbox? You can't hurt a dead man, same logic applies here
