Forums - Sony - PS2 game that I can't remember much of. Any help finding it?

I remember in the early-mid days of the PS2 I went to my cousin's and we were playing this game that I fairly enjoyed. The problem is, I remember very little about it. It played mostly like a WRPG and had a variety of weapons from guns to swords, I think you actually fought "mechs" too. The level of all your enemies would show, and you would at least want to match that level before deciding to fight. The overworld I think, but am not sure , was designed like your regular JRPG overworld. There was also dungeons and other things as well. Unfortunately I can't remember much past that. No title, no developer, no publisher, nothing. So can anybody help me find this game? For some reason it came up in my mind, and I want to at least try it out again?

Edit:

Found the game.

Future Tactics?
Growlanser: Heritage of War?
Metal Saga?

Nope setting is midevial leaning toward the Renaissance. Don't get distracted by mention of mechs. That is one of the obscure things in my memory.

Again it played like a WRPG. That means it is completely action based. The view was third person, and played similarly to a hacknslash title, but with more customiblity. The most popular game I would compare it to is Diablo. The mechs were an exception rather than a rule. It was just one type of enemy you faced against out of like 10 different types, and there were varying enemies out of each type. Actually I'm starting to remember more now, I guess since I didn't remember those types before.

Nano Breaker??

Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria?

LOL this is frustrating!
