I know it's not the co-op you're thinking of but Buzz Quiz TV is great fun to play when you have friends around. There are question packs to suit everyone's knowledge base.

I really don't think you can go past LBP for 2-4 player local co-op. And fun online co-op too. It's the most fun you can have on a console without killing/punching things. And more fun that a lot of killing/punching things games too.

LBP, Wipeout HD, Flower, DMC4, NG, Tekken, etc. I'd also recommend Batman AA - kind of a beat them up, action title and my current favorite game.

I'd also advise you to get on PSN and download demos like mad. While not every game has a demo plenty do, with even LBP having a demo now.

You can also get demos of online games like 1943, too, and see how you fare with PSN online.

And setup multiple PSN accounts - one for wherever you live and then 1 each for the other two major stores. I'd advise having a European, Japanese and US account personally. Just pick a big company (I used Microsoft for a bit of a laugh) and use a different email account and that companies address - e.g. I live in UK so I used my details for European store, Microsoft address in US (HQ) to set up a US account and a Japanese address to set up that account.

Actually, no. You need to be with at least 3 players (since there are 3 classes). Resistance: Fall of Man on the other hand has a fun 2 play co-op through the campaign.

And don't listen to the GTA haters, it's a fun game.

how do people hate a game with ricky gervais in it?

- Resistance 1 has an amazing 2 player splitscreen offline coop and its for campaign mode (I prefer this over part 2)

- Resistance 2 has good offline/online coop but its not campaign.

- Resident Evil 5 is one of my fav offline coop game as well

- Warhawk ...you need to be connected to the internet to play but you can have 4 player split screen with you and 3 other buddies

As for single player games... Batman!!!

Enchanted Arms (very underrated) is a pretty good game if you can find it for $20 or less. I plays a lot like the first Arc the Lad on PS2.

i snagged that near the start of me having 360, sold it quick too.

gotta say i totally disagree, new ps3 bro, PLAY that first before you even drop 20 bucks on it.

I recommend: MGS 4, Uncharted 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Infamous and Valkyria Chronicles.
