Forums - Gaming - Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 Completely under the radar?

So I was traversing the IGN website today when I happened  to see a commercial for Marvel :Ultimate Alliance 2. Then I saw "Available Now" and nearly fell over my chair. Am I the only one that's immensely excited for this? The game looks fantastic, and honestly its a testament to the glory that was the Civil War story Arc.

I think between Sony's slim release, Batman, and god knows what else, the game seriously evaded most peoples minds. I couldn't even find a decent discussion thread about the game on here. I certainly hope the game sells well, but honestly it's wading into dangerous territory with ODST stealing some of its fire (at least on the 360 side). Still, thoughts anyone? Personally, the graphics look immensely improved, and it seems they are maintaining the massive character selection that was in the first game/ Legend's series. I can hope the gameplay is on par with the first game, and it seems like they are upgrading the combat system to be a bit more than just a button masher.

Its mostly going to be a fan-service game. Few people get really super hyped for those. The last few have definitely been good though, and Vicarious Visions is a developer I trust. I plan on picking it up soonish just for the 4 player campaign. It is a shame the Wii version got gimped though.

Starcraft 2 ID: Gnizmo 229

I got my pre-order shipping to me today. Looking forward to this for the 4 player co-op.
I'm also surprised the reviews aren't posted yet. Thats usually a bad sign, but I have faith this game will be good.

Check USA out pre orders.

Not under radar at all... Should be 500K opening on both platforms. in NA only...

I'm just surprised there isn't more hype about this. Maybe it is the Scribbenauts of the world that have largely silenced the press. Mostly these games are fan service but of the highest caliber. I know a lot of comic book fans who drool over these games, hell I know a lot of non comic fans that love the idea of action RPGing your own team of characters.

That and the source material is better than most films's.

@Dsolitude. just checked. That is a great sign. You wouldn't know it was even close to that amount going on fan noise. I guess its being dwarved by the 1.2 million halo pre-orders

I don't know.

X-Men Legends 2 was amazing it has mods for pretty much every X-Man in existence along with a ton of Marvel characters. It's kind of like... why bother with that game when I can mod an existing one I have to get similar gameplay?

Have to wait til tomorrow to pick it up. Can't wait to play it!

@ Words,

Like I said I'm hoping they deliver on the epic scale that Civil War was. If done right it could be quite the joyride. If not, then I will be incredibly disappointed. What happens to Captain America truly was a shock back in 07.

Meh, I was pretty underwhelmed by the first and just assume the second one is more of the same.

I'll get it soon, but I went into Gamestop and they had posters/preorder boxes plastered everywhere so it's certainly not under the radar.
