Yup, Im a big RPG fan and have played most of them since nes days. The only really good RPG for anyone that have a lot of experience with RPG would be tales of vesperia. Star ocean 4 is not bad tho, there was a problem with switching disc each 5-10 minutes at the end of the game if you wanted to do some sidequest, but this will not be a problem anymore. Lost odyssey and infinite undiscovery probably had success because there was a lot of player on their first RPGs. If you would compare those title to title like suikoden 2 or 5, xenosaga 1 or 3, most of the final fantasy, shadow hearts 2, tales of vesperia, eternal sonata ps3... they suck hard time!

Nah i can wait, i already know whats "what" with the game, its REALLY fun but not worth the "OMG MUST BUY NAO!!1" kinda worth it, if it was a Valkyrie Profile game then yeah, but SO4 is kinda ... a Mixed bag of great and meh... Dont worry though! you guys will enjoy it, but it ain't worth a buy for people who already have it, not right away anyway with games like Uncharted 2 and Lost Planet 2 on the way.

And i'd have to agree... i bought my 360 Exclusively for Star Ocean: The Last Hope... so for people who say "People dont buy consoles for only one game its stoopid rofl t3h waffles" well... pwned!

As far as the 360 goes... if Magna Carta II ends up being crap like people keep saying then i may sell it, because even though Fable II was great and III will most likely be good to other then the Tri-Ace support that MS has been or... more rather... HAD... is kinda gone thanks to RoF and Sega!

In conclusion... Damn impulse buys has a random chance of stabbing you in the back!

I'm probably going to wait on Magna Carta II...it's not really a game I've been waiting for that much. If I buy it now it would be just my xbox360 justification but with ToV releasing tomorrow in Japan and SO4 being announced I'm probably just going to sell it.

Well the Battle System in MC II looks really solid and final fantasy like.

The Graphics look like sex for the eyes, and well... "BOOBS" that is all. :) its a day 1 buy imo but if it fails then so does my 360. (In a "Awesome" to "Not to awesome anymore..." Sense...)

LOL, I also purchase a Xbox 360 just to play the RPGs. Im keeping it just in case, but like the Xbox 360 fanboys are saying the PS3 is a paperweight in my case its the 360. Im playing all the other type of games on PS3, its just that I have some compulsive problem having to play all the RPGs, but in the case of the 360 titles I only played tales of vesperia and star ocean to the end. The other titles I stopped after around 20 hours. The 30 seconds (maybe I exagerate a bit here) loading before battle in lost odyssey was soooooooooo bad.

i bought a wii for zelda and brawl.

Thats too bad, if it can help I think your not the only one, ive heard a lot of stories of people buying a Wii and then leaving it unplayed the majority of the time after the first month.

So strange how we both worship Valkyria Chronicles and @#$% off at Selvaria but our opinions on SO4 are so... Out of order. :D

I'm not really that regretful of buying any of the consoles this gen. Truth be told I've used them about the same until now, it's just that the PS3 (and the Wii is still getting a new Tales game) are getting into the swing of my genre while the xbox is losing it.
But guess it helps that I bought that one as a Black Friday deal and it was $200 for the arcade, refurbished 20gb hdd and an extra controller.

But in the case of MCII, unlike the situation when ToV was coming out, there are FFXIII and RoF coming out.. so it's not so sad and barren for the PS3.
