Forums - Microsoft - Official Forza Motorsport 3 predictions thread.

Forza 3 will sell very well in Europe, people are bored with GT5 release being cancelled  year after year and Forza 3 is now looking the better game, If it turns out as well as they say it could put GT5 back to the drawing board yet again.

The big thing between Forza 3 sales and GT5 is -

For every one Forza 3 game sold GT5 is going to have to shift around 10-15 games it has taken years and Millions od dollars to get GT5 working and they still haven't got it right..

Forza will win on sales $ because it has cost them a lot less to make such an amazing looking game....

I think you're blowing it up out of proportions.
Going to one website no matter how huge is no indicator of how big the problem is unless a large percentage of the 12 million user base are on the with modded consoles also Forza 3 is the biggest release (unless someone can correct me) for that month or at least that week so other games on any console wont have any if all affect on its sales.

Also just because you know people who have modded consoles doesn't mean that rings true for everyone. Anecdotal evidence works both ways as I know a lot of 360 owners but only 1 PS3 owner and she's only interested in singstar. The 360 owners are all getting this game and have no interest in the PS3.
It doesn't prove anything.

It's best we go on previous game buying habits of the 360 community along with interest in this game and they both indicate this will sell very well in Europe and America.

It's hitting the shops AFTER Dirt 2 and NFS:Shift which means a lot of people will already have a driving fix by the time Forza 3 is on sale which IMHO hurts its prospects.

That being said, it's gonna sell 10 bajillions first week and LTD probably gonna approach the megazillion barrier.
