Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 will share GOTY's.
@luvtospooge: I wish that would happen but it wont...As much as I love Killzone 2, I don't think it stands a very good chance of winning game of the year maybe because not many people have played it or the game got quite a lot of hate from the media due to its controls..I really don't know the reason but I have a feeling that its chances are slim

Well it has a good average score - 91%.
Anything beyond 90% has a good chance of hitting GoTY.

That's the thing, despite having critical acclaim and being loved by those who played it the game has a slim chance of winning due to its disappointing sales...It was easily one of the most hyped games of this generation since way back in 2005.
i think GOTY will be uncharted 2 and MW2 from some other magazines.

But KZ2 is fukin awesome.
All I have to say is that Halo Wars is not going to win any of them. Even though it deserves it more than any other game this year. Killzone 2 does not deserve to get any. I found that it was just another average mediocre shooter, without the only redeeming quality that Halo has which is co-op play.
Modern Warfare 2 just seems to be Modern Warfare reshelled and I don't see it being as highly rated as the first.
My personal pick for game of the year is *Drum Roll* Batman: Arkham Asylum. This is the only game this year that i just wanted to play, and continue to play even after I beat it. I found the all the aspects of the game to stay fresh throughout he game and never even get near being repetitive. Plus all the riddles and challenge rooms added stuff outside of the campaign for me to enjoy.
I also think that maybe Halo 3:ODST also has a chance to get a game of the year. the single player campaign looks to be a massive overhaul from the third. Along with being able to play co-op with a couple of friends is a massive bonus. Plus combined with all the multiplayer maps as well as the new Firefight mode is mking this game look like way more than just a simple expansion pack

IGN had a preview copy and loved ODST as I expect most will. It's no longer just an expansion but pretty much a full title covering the story of a different Halo universe perspective.
