Forums - Gaming - what if somebody were stealing your games?

ok so i have about 400 games in my room all spanning from the atari 2600 to the nintendo wii. i have a couple friends come by ever so often, we get drunk/stoned play whatever games we like.

first i noticed my lost oddyssey and my halo 3 were missing. i let everyone know about it and i pretty much interrogated everyone. there is one person in particular who i think did it, but he swears he didnt. so pretty much there is nothing i can do.

now, today i just go on vgchartz, look at the top selling games for the week, notice MGS4 is in the top 50, and i thought to myself... i havent seen that spine in awhile... go to my ps3 collection, and what do you know ITS FUCKING GONE.

WHAT THE FUCK?! what am i supposed to do guys? what would you guys do? is there anything that i can even do about this? should i just sell all my games before they have a chance to be stolen again? seriously this is really stressing me out.

Around the Network

I've been in a similar situation as you, and all i can say is that if you particularly know who the culprit is, try not to invite that person over. Its hard to point finger without evidence i know.

I was lucky to have witness to my 'ex-friend' stealing from me, and now i never deal with that person ever again.

Like this is the thanks we get for being your friend and sharing these things with you eh?

1. putting security cameras in your room would help.
2. lock your game collection in a safe
3. dont get stoned/drunk around your game collection, when you have friends around
4. give your games a distinctive mark that only you know about, if it gets stolen check all your friends games, if you see your mark, you find your thief
