Just looked it up. Sold 60k with the demo (which was priced at $50, by the way since it came with ACC). I see multiple hundred thousand PS3s sold that week. Since 360 sells virtually nothing in Japan, just about 100% of sales in japan directly cut into the 360's lead.

Ok, assuming Ps3 sells 200k per week for all of December in Japan (including the weeks before FF 13 launches), it would still need a 100% increase worldwide to outsell the 360 by enough.

Of course, if the 360 manages to have an incrases yoy, which is very liekyl seeing the effect of the price cut yoy, it will be even more unlikely to close the 360 lead to 5 million.

I myself predict from now until Jan. 1st, 360 will be outsold by 1.5-2 million units.

May I quote you in my sig?

You may quote how much I predict the PS3 to outsell it buy, and you may quote that I don't think Ps3 will close the gap to 5 million by Jan 1st. Can't wait till then to discuss this further =)

I'll just quote the last part. May need to rearrange some things to make all of these predictions fit ^.^;

Took them long enough. Anyway, congratulations Sony. And here's to millions more. Hopefully, my purchase will be one.

Long enough? PS3 is the 3rd fastest selling home console in history, behind PS2 and Wii.

It also reached 24 Million faster than the Xbox 360.

Edit: AND id like to add, while achieving the above, it has done it being the most expensive console on the market by far.

Yea,  thats really impressive.

Check out my game about moles ^

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't VGChartz take longer to update the PS3 numbers? I mean I could swear PS3 has been at 23.43 for at least a couple weeks.

I don't understand your thought process ph4nt. What makes you think the 360 will stay flat for the holidays YoY? I mean... just as the Ps3 droped YoY after the year anniversary for the price drop I see the 360 doing the same... Also, the Ps3 has sold 15% more than the 360 did within the same length of time as the 360... A good reason for this is because of Japan... what makes you think the trend won't stay the same with one of the biggest games ever to release on the system to date this holiday? I see ps3 getting a 150% increase this holiday in Japan.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I see ps3 getting a 150% increase this holiday in Japan and a 110% increase in Europe With GT5

Fixed/>>?

Thought 500k this week?

150k in Japan, 100k in America, and 250k in Europe.
