in all honesty I doubt it. They probably just thought they wouldn't be able to sell the same game three times, so they added a female protag option.

As for my thoughts on using a female; I really don't mind. Although silent protagonists will always give you the feeling that there is a bit of you inside them, I've never played a game where I felt as if he was actually me. Also, I probably wouldn't feel uncomfortable dating guys with a female protagonist. It's only a game after all, and it might be fun looking at it from the other side.

?? That's what we've been doing in P3 and P4. I was saying that it would be cool to play as the female lead and see the game from another perspective.
