Forums - PC - Would this computer be good for gaming?

http://www.amazon.com/Sony-VGC-RT150Y-25-5-Inch-Processor-Ultimate/dp/B001G0MP5Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1252297428&sr=8-1

I'm thinking of getting one of these and I don't really know much about computer specs. I know that I could get a much better computer for a lot less money but I want to but this because it's AIO. So, what is your opinion?

Holy shit, please don't spend $3,300 on a desktop PC. You can build one for much cheaper.

Had to change my sig to get some moderator to quit bitching about it......

ummm yeah, mine is has 6gb of RAM and has an 8300 processor with 640gb of space...it runs all games fine, but the price with this one is quite high, i got mine for 800$ so yeah

I know it's high. The price is high because it is a pc with a built in 1080p hdtv and blu-ray player. It's bitchin.

Clearly the processor and amount of RAM are not the only things needed for PC gaming.

Amazon lists it has have 512MB of video RAM, however it does not list what kind of GPU, my guess is its a lower end card and is not suitable for future gaming.

The Vaio series is very reliable. Given the price point you should build your own instead, that way you can play Crysis in all your bedrooms.

Of course it's good for gaming! What kind of question is that, lol? But the question is, is it worth it?

I looked at Sony's website, it has a 512MB 9600GT, which would provide a decent gaming experience. (But not great) And I'm not sure if it's able to be replaced, doubtful.

I also found that Sony has it marked down to $2500 on their site. You should really look around for the best price before buying.

The one on sony's site is the lower spec model. Plus on amazon I get free shipping :). Thanks for the advice.

It has a slightly slower processor and only 4GB of ram, hardly worth $800 more......

In either case, it'll make a bomb multi-media machine, but only a decent gamer.
