Forums - Gaming - Sonic Unleashed has taken a really unfair bad rap IMO.

I finally picked up this game at Gamestop for $20 after being somewhat scared away by the constant whining about this game in reviews.  This game is way more fun than the reviews would have you believe.  The werehog levels, while obviously not as fun as the daytime levels, are still fun in their own right.  They certainly don't ruin the game as some have said.  I enjoyed the level up system and searching for the hidden day and night medallions is also a fun reason to revisit all of the levels.  All in all, this is a really fun game that people should really give a chance now that it can be found on the cheap.

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

Well, 1 million other people didn't listen to the hate either, and they bought Sonic Unleashed on the Wii.Sometimes I wonder if people even like PLAYING games as much as they spend time bashing them constantly.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

ya kno...I agree, SONIC in gerneral has taken alot of Heat even when his games are gettin steadily better..there some ppl screamin SONIC SUXS!! or beggin SEGA to kill what created them...I still have faith SONIC ive boughten ALL his games even Sonic Rush series( hate it) and Shadow( ugh)..one day SONIC & SEGA will finally find their way back to the top and i will continue to support them both

another thing is SEGA needs to expand SONIC outside of kid land and remember to include the older fans..I want to see a complete Reboot for SONIC, every character has died in some say...Eggman and SONIC rivalry is a Joke..what happen to the eerie Robotnik from SEGA CD with creepy boss themes??? now hes just a clown who repeats the same mistakes over & over again

It's what we call a vocal minority. Okami and Madworld get praised by this group, and only sell moderately. Mario Kart Wii gets bashed by it "BLUESHELL MAKES THIS ALL CASUALS!", and outsells a Grand Theft Auto game.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I like it, I may have had my frustrations with it at some points, but I liked it enough to platinum the game, hell if you look at the trophy league here on VG I'm the only one to have platinumed Sonic Unleashed.

The bitching on Sonic Unleashed is unfair, the only game people should bitch about is Sonic the hedgehog on PS3/360, now that's a bad game, really bad game, Sonic Unleashed is tons better, in fact it should be the way sonic games should go, especially with the day parts.

Well I think Sonic Unleashed day levels were quite good but the night levels were just too bad for me to really get into.

But I do agree with you in that it was reviewed worse than it actually was. Same with Sonic and the Black Knight to tell ya the truth. That game was actually more reminiscent of the fast paced Sonic games of old but because he had a sword it was bad apparently.

If the game didn't have so much Werehog then I'd have actually like the game.

Yeah, go ahead hate on me for not liking the Werehog gimmick. Many people have a good reason WHY they don't like it. And since it takes up half of the game (or in the Wii's case 2/3 of the game) then there's a good reason why people don't like Unleashed.

Don't even bother asking me why I dislike the Werehog and figure it out yourself. Seriously.

EDIT: This isn't really directed at the OP but to people who defends the Werehog a lot >>

Dude, Sonic having a sword is as bad as shadow having a gun, neither should posses a weapon, enough said.

Werehog has terribly bad battle music
