Forums - PC - Need to install the Oregon Trail on 64 bit Vista

hey I got KOTOR 2 to work on Vista, you can get Oregon Trail to work, Im sure their is a way

Around the Network

First try Dosbox. If that doesn't work then find your old DOS disks "in the cabinet you havn't looked at in awhile" and get VirtualBox (it's free). That will let you run an actual DOS in Windows, but you probably won't be able to get sound working that way since DOS games used drivers inside the game rather than in an OS. :(

I just downloaded DOSBox and got the game installed in about a half hour, it works perfectly.
Dosbox rocks!

Installing Oregan Trail on Vista...

Kinda like wanting to install a steam engine in a nuclear sub

Oh, just to point out, a Nuclear Sub does in fact use a steam engine. The atomic pile boils sea water (captured from outside) and uses that to turn a steam generator to make electricity to power the ship (and turn the screws).
