Sure PS3 slim is nothing... just step forward about eing the thrid fast selling console ever existed.. PERIOD.

Sony's last hope if they have the least bit of sense about them is their motion controller. Slim should help keep them relevant until it arrives.

Unfortunately, while they likely have that much sense, it's doesn't seem they are taking the right approach with it, though I'm just basing that on the limited information I have right now.

This generations done. Slim is just Sony trying to recoup some of their losses.

They don't need a last hope, there will still be PS4, but if that fails, then they will need one.

In a word, yes. But things will REALLY get tough for the slim once Natal comes out and Nintendo drops the Wii's price.
