Forums - Sony - Call of Duty 4 developed for each console separately

I wasn't sure which console I was going to get Call of Duty 4 on (either 360 or ps3)...I guess from the sounds of this article, I'll probably be getting it on the ps3 now. I'm glad they are developing it individually on each console rather than just porting it from one to the other.

Well regardless of which console I get it on...this game is looking beautiful...can't wait.

Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

DEFINITELY PS3 version (not that I have a choice..lol)

but even for 360 AND PS3 owners, it should be ps3, if these reports are correct

My prediction for YEARS END:

WII - 18.3 Million

Xbox 360 - 15 Million

Playstation 3 - 8.5 Million

360 controls for COD4 > PS3. I was in the beta for that game, there is no way I would want to get it on the PS3 now.

Currently Playing:

PS4 - Killzone:SF and Assasins Creed 4

XBox One: BF4, CoD:Ghosts, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5

Changing channels with my voice: priceless!!!

360 version has rumble

I don't believe they chose to spend $45 million+ developing two versions, instead of spending $25 million on making one and porting it.

Sounds like some 'twisted' truths to me.

To be honest I can't even make out what the article is trying to say, the topic title suggests the developer chose to make two seperate games entirely.

I was merely using the statistic that as a PS3 / 360 game costs $20 million+ to develope they would have chosen to spend alot of extra money to make the same game, which doesn't add up to me :/.
