Sony did say they were doing that this was in 2007 event in the UK so I just think it's hard for some to think Sony is telling the truth with anything.

He quoted a MS statement and its rebuttal from Sony, on top of being sales related, it is at the very least a clarification of an apparently incorrect statment.

There are plenty of threads far more worthless than this one which provided information with source and the relevent quote that spark the clarification.

I know MikeB's history and I don't neccessarily agree with him (in fact I probably disagree with him on a lot of things) but your post here feels more like a witchhunt than anything else.

And so what if VGC is wrong, is that such a bad thing. no one is perfect!

I have alway's viewed this site as a guide line to give you an IDEA on what the sale's data is , it's far from perfect but its OK to take it with a grain of salt. Never the less people post thing's about sale's data. This is one of them , this site has sale's data gathering just like sony, microsoft or nintendo. It does not make them anyless of a statement on THEIR RESULTS ARE ON  the sales data.
