@Khuutra - Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. There's no real right and wrong here. A person who thinks what you are saying is not in the wrong, but they're opinion will differ greatly from most others. And in a place like this they will be met with strong disagreement.

However, when the person who is doing this list works for a big game website, they should take other things into consideration. I believe that the person who made this list knew exactly what he/she was doing when they put 360 above PS1. On VGC, it's referred to as trolling, or starting shit between fanboys. But again if it is their opinion there is nothing really wrong about it.

Indeed. There is nothing inherently wrong with the list, though I would place the Wii higher than it is than it is now.

And I invite anyone, anyone, to tell me in what ways I am wrong concerning my opinions vis-a-vis current gen consoles.

I was playing Halo 3 online recently, and this kid, must've been 12, was just freaking out. He just would not stop screaming about "It's unfair!" 'you're all cheating!" etc. at a very high pitch. That is what this thread reminds me of.

OT: Good list, props to IGN for sticking with their guns and going with what they want rather than what the rabid fanboys would want.

Lawd. That person is getting paid whether or not you like his/her list. It's their list and has valid selections on there. Can folks just accept the fact that everyone doesn't think the PS3 and Wii are the greatest - and that everyone has his/her opinion?

Since the GameCube appeared on the list I knew it would be another massive IGNorance phail.

But that's the thing. No one can tell you you're wrong. Just like no one can tell me I'm wrong when I say PS3 is miles and miles ahead of 360 and probably always will be. That's the beauty of putting "my opinions" in what we are talking about. IMO, if we were to include current generation consoles, Wii would be higher than PS3 and 360 simply because of the way it has changed gaming. We're not even into the 8th generation yet and the changes brought by the Wii are already being adapted by other companies. The effect that it has had on gaming will be far greater than PS3 or 360. 

Also, if it were my list, I would have to disagree that current generation consoles have given us more than the last twenty years of gaming. The amount of time I spent playing SNES was probably more than the time I've spent playing all 5 current generation consoles.

So yes, the list is not wrong. There is no wrong here. However, I easily believe that a majority of gamers will disagree with it.

This is true. He will get paid no matter what. But how does this affect or having anything to do with what I said at all? I didn't even say he was in the wrong for ranking 360 higher. I'm just saying most people will disagree.
