Forums - General - WH deletes line about schoolkids helping Obama from speech prep materials

The last line in that video, is Demi Moore pledging "to be a servant to our president".

When did the roles change? I always thought the president was a servant to the people. not the other way around.

How times have changed....

Do you seriously just spend your time on the internet looking for anything that can be vaguely linked to Obama being bad so you can post it here?

I mean your last two anti-Obama threads have been pretty damned tenuous.

While it may appear as if Halogamer spent many hours dredging the internet to find this story, it is actually a large controversey. Parents from Texas to Illinois and Mississippi to Maryland are fuming about the address and the assignments.

I think the the bigger issue, is if you look at the questions, they are "what are you going to do to help your teacher, your mayor, your president".

Not what your going to do to help your parents, your community, or your country.

Maybe he is just trying to get advice from school-children because it will make more sense than anything Congress has done all year ...

Imagine being the 7-year-old who's responsible for leading America out of the recession once and for all.

Wait, what topic was it in that one of the conservatives on this site said that 'No democrat would ever ask what can you do to help your country, not what your country to help you'.

Isn't this pretty much a contradiction of this? Given that the American President is the head of state and as such the representative of America to the world.
