Forums - Gaming - The Official "I Support The Industry" Thread

You know lately there have been a lot of grumbles and complaints from people in the Video Game Industry (VGI) about the Used Video Game Market (UGM) and I have to say I agree with what the people of the VGI are saying about the UGM. I wanted to start a thread to see how many people on VGChartz only buy New games instead of Used ones.(Of Course if a game has gone out of print and is quite rare) So VGC let me see who hear Supports the VGI!

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Meeee.

I support the rights of individuals, both to sell what they buy and to pay what they feel is appropriate for a game, not what some industry wants them to pay.

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.

I typically buy new games. It may just be some strange fetish, but if I think a game is going to be really good, like awesome, I'll buy it. If I think its something mediocre or meh, I'll buy it used. In a way this may be some perversion as I want to be the first to violate a good game and conquer it.

Example: I will buy muramasa demon blade new but wouldn't buy madden new (not saying madden isn't good, it's just not unique and the sense of conquest isn't there).
