You don't have to be that way. No one said the PS3 was the best console ever. I just think the PS3 should be over the Xbox and not because it's still "hot" but because I think it's simply better. I also support that the 360 should be over the PS3 as a matter of fact.


Sorry, i didnt mean to be a douche in my reply...but things have to be time adjusted when comparing them. Xbox in 2003 with online, voice chat, freinds lists...and all might Halo...as well as other FPS games that were online at the time like Wolfenstien definetly left the mark on gaming.

I somewhat disagree. Xbox offered something none of the other 2 consoles offered at the time. PS3 has been playing catchup to 360 for most of its lifecycle...

I agreed with you until you said Ps3 is playing catch up. I don't understand how you were talking about Xbox offerings to Ps3 playing catch up, catch up with online? Ps3 is innovative in it's own ways like blu-ray. Xbox was innovative at the time and left a important mark on gaming. Not since Golden Eye has a FPS on console been so popular as Halo and now we have Halo to thank for a FPS saturated market.

Well this list talks about the best gaming consoles. Bluray is a nice multimedia feature but it really hasn't shown to bring anything valuable to gaming.

Otherwise, when it comes to games and sheer number of them...it is widely considered that PS3 is catching up to 360 when it comes to the library of great games. Metacritic would be used as proof for something like this... A year head start resulting in bigger userbase and higher game sales, ease of programming...and maybe even MS moneyhat habbits are major causes for this.
