We all know that soon there will be a boost in ps3 sales but with all these consoles being bought they also need games, and it wont be long before games are recomended  to them like uncharted or mgs4 does this mean that these games will  have a longer life in them still and make their world wide sales slightly larger? if so how muchy do you think it will increase there totals sales.

Uncharted - 2.5 million (from 20th of June)

Metal gear solid 4 - 4.16 million (from 28th June)


I think this christmas they will have had a push by about 200k each maybe more.

I dont know how much but this is pretty obvious, alot of late adopters will go back and buy the older games to catch up. Especially since most of them are discounted.

but I can see uncharted and mgs4 being around for a while especially being a platinum game, did you have a number for how much you think it will be increased by?

As long as they don't buy used games from EB/Gamestop, then yeah.

Probably close to the numbers you said 200k each, the game I think will get the biggest boost is Killzone 2. While the increases can be tracked, the reasons as to why they increased cannot be, so it could be a combination of a few things, especially with the holidays right around the corner.

well for the new adopters uncharted will definitely see a boost in sales with uncharted 2 right around the corner.

i wont buy mgs4 until they do a mgs collection like the god of war one. because I've never played one :\
