Forums - Sony - what the ... I just got the YLOD..

If it's any help- don't freak out about AP courses. I had 5 in senior year and it was actually easier than a normal schedule.

I have four honors courses Freshman year but I'll have about 6 hours free time a day though. School is so easy. It's just like a video game.

This is surely a complete joke. I mean, come on.

For taking 4 honors classes, I thought you'd be smart enough to catch the sarcasm

It is unfortunate any time a console dies no matter what kind it is. Esp... considering how much they cost.

Is it me or is there a lot of broken 60gb Ps3's lately? Sorry to hear about this leo.

Thats sad man. No one benefits form this. Sony has to sell you a console at a loss. You have to buy another console at a loss or repair the curret one at a loss. Considering yours has BC, id say repair it.

These consoles today are messed up... My genesis, 32x and sega CD dont miss a beat but I had problems with PS1, PS2 and Xbox360. Pretty much everything i owned that was CD based other than Saturn and Dreamcast.

iys because contrary to popular belief...stronger the tech, greater the fail rate

Well that partially true but there are exceptions...

Xbox1 from what ive heard was quite sturdy and it lasted a long time and it was the most powerful console last gen.

Dreamcast has like...no fail rate, everyone i know that has a dreamcast has theirs working still. And when it came out in 1998 it was leaps and bounds ahead of anything tech wise. It gave PCs a run for its money if you think about games coming out in 1998...at a 640x480 resolution atleast :)

It's not just you. That's why I traded mine in for a slim. They're dropping dead left and right.

I still stand true to my theory that 60GB's are programmed or built to fail in 2009 or after a certain amount of usage after purchase( 2year limit)...mine broke in Jan

It may have actually just got really hot or dusty. I remember getting a YLOD and I just put my PS3 on my pool table for a few hours let it cool off and I blew it out with a dust buster and that bad boy is up and running. Or God wants you to get a PS3Slim

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
