Either Nintendo system, being a PS3 owner, I can't imagine a 360 doing you much good.

DS. It's my next system after the PSP Go as well.

XBox is a surprisingly similar to what you have with the PS3. Unless Halo, Gears, Mass Effect, Fable and a few others interest you greatly and you really wanna have the easiest to use friend and chat features(at a premium price). I don't see the point. It would be rather redundant.

Wii is just like the DS except the library sucks cause it hasn't had enough time to mature. It's a great experiment but purchase one much later once it has tons of interesting games.

DS = the Wii but with way better 3rd party support and an already massive library. Even though I'm not interested in any 1st party titles there are still tons of gems and interesting quirky titles to consume.

Does talking about 360 usually work you up to the point you want to sleep with random strangers? I love my PS3 but I can't say I get aroused by it  

 

Personally, I'd get the Wii. It is true, the 360 and PS3 share so many games, and if you've got a halfway decent computer, you can get a lot of 360 games on PC. Use the Wii for when the family comes around or parties, thats what its good for.

This guy brings up a good point. Sell your PS3 and get the 360. They are basically the same but you get to play Mass Effect, Halo, Gears of War, etc.

As for the DS, I own one and it has been rather disappointing. There are only a handful of games I can say I genuinely enjoy. Perhaps upcoming games will make me happier about owning one.

also get the wii

then the ds and then 360 i suggest not getting a 360 cause yuo have a ps3 so get a wii if you want a console get a ds if you want a handhed.

All I can really say is I have a 360 and it's been a fantastic games machine, with much more to give yet. It has a mix of genres this gen with some great new IP's to.

But with the hundreds of games and a lot that won't be on the PS360 so you still have plenty of good choices even if it's 1 out of 20.

The motion could give him a new playing experience and he'll still have the PS3 for the more classic gaming needs.
