i dont believe the ps3 slim has any heat issue, i bet what happened is wifes got pissed there husbands went and bought another game console and they put there nuts in a sling, so they returned them making up some bs like we all do when returning things, and we just need our money back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Person is converned about heat and got following suggestion

you have the power cord connected to the PS3 the wrong way...take the power cord out of the PS3 and turn it around and plug it back in..the words that are written in white on the cord have to be facing up when you plug it in to the PS3 Slim or you get serious heating problems and it might even catch on fire.

And looks like it helped him.

I have no idea how power cord could be connected incorrectly ....

They just enjoyed too much of teh cell, thus playing killzone 2 24/24. Teh cell doesn't like it when it doesn't get a rest, so in return, teh cell managed to take it's revenge by overheating.

See what the true power of teh cell means...

Seriously though, like some of you said, we should wait and see...and not jumping into quick conclusions.
