Yeah my PS3 Slim gets pretty hot. Hope it doesn't break down.

i agree, my 60gb might give enough heat to warm my room to over 90 degrees, but it never had any hardware failure because of the heating.

well i've been reading around and this is what it sounds like.  I think people were just scared it was getting so hot not that it had actually broken.

Yes sir, in fact, our store has always sold PS3's really well regardless of the price...and the release of the slims is clearing inventory so friggin quickly!

how many returns do you usually get on consoles, is this a warning ?

we got about 1 or 2 for the original ps3 out of 60-70 consoles sold, that's it

I don't work for a gaming store, I am an engineer. I just mean the one that's down the road from my house. I do stop in there regularly.

And it most certainly is NOT a warning. You would of seen way more reports of this already, it's just a coincidence.
