This is now the third time my PS3 has failed, and for all you Sony fans that will say... oooh no it hasn't any you are making this up... shut up and and get a life... YES IT hAS and I am a little upset. I have had it "REPAIRED" by sony twice at a cost of £99 each time and quest what it has new stopped reading disks. So if anyone is thinking of getting a PS3 don't bother is Shxt... I have a 360 and yes that has failed but good old MS repaired it for nothing... But not sony they just keep taking your money and producing crap... Just on a side is there any way of recovering my PS3 and not sending back to Sony "AGAIN".. I have restored the system and then updated to the latest verion and still no joy... If you can please help.

Have you ever considered perhaps you're at fault? You may be handling the system wrong, it may be in a poorly ventilated area, the temperature of your home may be too high.
Of course you'll say "No I treat it like a baby, everything is as good as it could be", but I know people who bang on their consoles and slide them around, put in discs with gunk on them who'd say the same thing.
