Forums - PC - HDMI output stopped working. Help required

I play a fair bit of games with my PC hooked up to the TV with a HDMI cable. I've really experienced no troubles up untill now.

While I was playing Oblivion, the HDMI cable fell out of the port, on the PC side. Now, it doesn't work with my PC anymore. I've checked the cable, by hooking it up to the DVD player instead of the PC (so the TV and cable remained the same), and it worked.

So I guess it has to be my PC output that is screwed. Now, I'm a complete idiot regarding this stuff, so I don't really know what else to tell you.

Thanks in advance.

Edit:
Oh, and the PC appears as if it is sending the signal, by changing the resolution of the screen, if that helps.

Around the Network

Uh

Have you tried blowing compressed air into the port? Maybe it got some dust in there.

I know it sounds overly simplistic but that's always the first thing I do with my electronics.

Smack it with a shoe. That usually works for me........with anything/anyone that gives me trouble.

you have got to activate the "display the same image in both monitors" again. When you disconnect the cable this option is canceled. Try it.
