Forums - Gaming - Target as a gaming store?

I wanted to know what the VGC Community feels about Target's competance as a seller of video games. Specifically, do they recieve new releases on time? Do they stock obscure games well?

This is prompted by my return to college today, only to find the EB Games that was literally half a mile up the street completely shuttered, and the only viable alternative (other than just ordering the games for release-day deliver off Amazon) is Target. I just prefer to buy things in person, but i want to know if Target has served gamers well in the past.

They do me very well, they dont get anything too obscure. They clearance a lot of titles so you can get games half off a month after release most times. I bought chronicles of Riddick a Month ago for $8. They had Madworld the other day for $14. Motorstorm PR for $14.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
