While it isn't that bad, there are many people who could be a little "ignorant" on worldly matters in this country. I think it is because unlike smaller countries where you can pretty much drive to another one, the contiguous U.S only has 2 bordering nations and it is big in itself. It is troublesome for some to even learn all of the states. We had to learn all our countries, locations, and capitals in seventh grade. I am going to tenth right now, I bet there are only about 20 people out of the 160 in my grade that still even remember half of what we learned. It just isn't used in daily life. The only people who it seems to stick to are people like myself who are interested in learning, actually find it fun to gather the most knowledge you can about a subject of interest. I sometimes find myself reading about a language or people for hours. I guess not everybody is interested as much as I am I guess. So yeah this video was probably cherry picking, but it isn't as uncommon as many of you guys may think to find people like this.
