Forums - General - I Oppose the Idea and Act of Homosexualism

Well, I said this to someone earlier today:
I don't believe in a "gay gene" but I also don't think it's a choice to be gay, I think it is all about the mentality of the person, meaning a guy can't help liking a guy anymore then I can help like Burnett more then Blonds.
Honestly Gays are very big Hypocrites, they say "oh were hated by heterosexuals" and "There trying to change our life style" but then they try the same with heterosexuals? At least the heterosexuals people have a deeper meaning to trying to change gays (Altho I don't agree with that meaning) they still have one other then out of spite or the idea that there way is better.

To clarify Heterosexuals do it because of religion (I believe in religion, but not how some interpret it) honestly they think there doing whats good for you (again, I don't agree) but what are homosexuals doing it for?

Firstly, don't use 'gays' as a homogenous group all doing the same thing. Secondly, how exactly are these 'gays' trying to change other people's lifestyles? Do you think they are trying to make more people gay? What purpose would that serve?

This is why I dont like gay people.

I don't like people that generalize. It's a primitive way of thinking.

Now, after saying that, I do believe in every person being treated the same whether they are black, white, gay, straight, or even bi. But accepting the idea of homosexuality is something that that I never see myself doing. Straight people do not celebrate being straight (I think) so I do not believe homosexualism should be celebrated. Sorry.

But, I do have one more question. What if every single human on the Earth was gay and opposed to heterosexualism. Would we see the end of humanity?

Edit: I have gay and lesbian friends btw.

I have no intention of reading this whole thread since it would be like talking to a brick wall. But I just wanna say I feel sorry for your gay and lesbian 'friends'... You should let them read your piece of trash. I know I wouldn't want you as a 'friend'...

He's british....I'm not sure how far Stephen Colbert has stretched his popularity...

@seece, it's a story about a church that called a woman satanic for trying to make her children into homosexuals by letting the boys cry and letting the girls play kickball. It's kind of funny at some points honestly.

Landover Baptist is a parody site.

You can catch his show in the UK :) Though after he started having the full shows on his site, I've switched to that.

And that article and the site it came from are luckily a joke.

Oh dear lord O.o . . . . what did I start?

there seems to be a lot of hate, ima have to start at like page 4 and read from there . . .

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

Sigh.

This argument will go on and on because it is an issue, like assisted suicide or abortion that people have deep seated feeling about.

I guess all I have to say is:

If two men or two women have a relationship, or get married, does it affect your ability to get married or have kids?  No?  Then why do you even care?  For religious reasons?  Fine, keep them to yourself.  You chose your religion, I didn't.

If you believe it to be wrong because we are "choosing" an immoral lifestyle, I ask you to honestly assess your life and pinpoint the exact moment during adolescence when you "chose" to be heterosexual.  I'll give you a hint, you can't do it, because you didn't choose to be heterosexual anymore than I chose to be gay, you just went through puberty and realized you were attracted to the opposite sex, much like I went through puberty and found myself attracted to the same sex.

For those of you who feel we shouldn't celebrate pride and "flaunt" our homosexuality, realize that most minorities have some sort of pride demonstration because it provides a moment of solidarity when we can say that we will not be marginalized and criminalized.  Our gay agenda is to have equal rights as heterosexuals, nothing more, nothing less.  Like the womans suffrage movement or the civil rights movement it is slow and we face opposition, but we will get there.  There are still large portions of the world where you can be killed for being gay.  You really think gay Iraqis choose to be gay, knowing they have a high chance of being tortured and killed?  For all of you white, middle class, heterosexual males out there, try and think of one time where you have been a part of any minority and then humbly accept how ridiculously easy you have it.

If you think the act of gay sex is gross, well fine with me, fantasize about something else.  I certainly don't think of vaginas or breasts appealing.

Personally I don't care if you have a problem with homosexuality.  Hate me for it, I don't care.  You can go be with other like-minded individuals and I will be all the happier for not knowing or caring about you.  But stay out of my way.  Because unlike you, we have a tangible benefit to fighting for equality, and we will get it.

Damn you and your thoughtful coherent posts Twizzler, Damn you!
