Banhammer for Playing Halo 3: ODST Early

Microsoft France has released an announcement today regarding the recently leaked Halo 3: ODST retail copy that was sold in France. For the gamers who will play Halo 3: ODST earlier than they are supposed to, they will be banned from XBOX Live. It doesn’t matter if you buy the game from the stores or a friend gave it to you.

As of now, Microsoft France has not release any information on the punishment, if any, for the stores who break the release date. As for the gamers, you will just get banned. Microsoft is on the lookout for everyone’s gamertag for early players on XBL!

I guess this will apply to North America as well. Well pirates, time to be careful!

Good thing makingmusic doesn't play on Xbox Live, he pulled that with inFamous BEFORE it came on and was logged on PSN to rub it in our faces. :D

frankly I disagree with banning people for legally buying the game. They should penalize the retailer with a massive fine.
