Forums - Gaming - Your Gamming Purchase Regrets!!!

Prototype on the 360. controls were just way too loose. Then Street Fighter IV on 360 because you can't play that game with a 360 controller... or at least to me you can't.

On Wii, definitely Obscure and Soul Calibur: Legends. For obvious reasons of course haha.

And on PS3, I didn't necessarily buy it, but a mistake anyways... Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Wanted to play a platformer as my first PS3 game and well I didn't get that haha.

I'm sure there are plenty of other mistakes but I know those are the most blatant.

Prototype controls were really good and Street Fighter IV on the Xbox 360 played fine. I have always used the Analog stick though.

Rachet and Clank Tools of Destruction was also good...

Around the Network

Gauntlet 2... it was ok... just that I finished the damn game the afternoon I bought it... and at the time games were an expensive leasure (prices have stagnated for the past 20 years despite inflation).

FIFA 94 on SNES... first game I bought just because I had money to spend.... it kinda sucked. (didn't like fifa till 98: road to world cup)

Some racing game on N64... returned it the same day, but it was a used game so they screwed me of €15...probably should have read the return policy.

many cheap PC games... never got arround to play them (but for 5$...)

and not really a regret about the purchase, just about the way things turned out:
Metroid Prime 2 and 3... didn't play them yet... but since I have them I can't buy the trilogy :x
DreamCast... just before coming back to France so I got to play it in black and white only.... not motivating...

This gen: about every purchase I made, cause I don't have enough time to play :x

This gen, I would say 360 jRPGs, simply because I bought them day 1 and they all dropped in price pretty quickly. I could've saved like $100-150 total if I just waited.

Also Wii Play - second Wii-Mote is nice, but I really don't use it often to justify the $50 purchase.

I also think the $15 I spent on Fat Princess was a waste too - I got bored of that game quick. KoF XII may join this list if its online issues aren't fixed soon - a fighter with bad netcode is a bad game as far as I'm concerned.
